Rodney has served as a Hospice Chaplain since 1990. He currently serves as a Chaplain for American Hospice in Denton, Texas. A graduate of Va. Tech and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he earned Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry degrees. He has completed 4 Basic and 2 Advanced Units of Clinical Pastoral Education. Rodney is a presenter for ELNEC and EPEC curriculums and also co-founded and serves as the current chairperson for the Denton Area Partnership for End-of-Life Care. He is a volunteer Chaplain for the Lake Cities Fire Department and is trained in CISM. Rodney frequently presents on healthcare topics for local, state, and national organizations. He is the recipient of the Chuck Meyer Award for Excellence in End-of-Life Care and a two-time recipient of the Heart of American Hospice Award. Rodney enjoys golf, baseball, birding and his better-than-average grandchildren.

Diane has been a hospice nurse and chaplain for over twenty years. She has a Master’s degree in psychology and is a priest in the Old Catholic Church, Province of the United States. Diane is currently the Hospice Program Director for HealthCare ConsultLink, a Texas based consulting company providing hospice agencies with education and support for regulatory compliance.

Danny Mack attended The University of North Texas and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Danny has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Divinity degrees.
He has served as the bereavement coordinator and chaplain for the Visiting Nurse Association, Grace Hospice, and Christian Care Hospice. Danny has over fifteen years of professional experience of working with those who grieve. He has an email newsletter that weekly goes out to 500 recipients Danny Mack regularly speaks to audiences on a variety of issues. He has been a speaker for the Richard J. Price Caregiver Conference of the Alzheimer’s Association, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and Gilda’s Club of North Texas. Danny has been a presenter for the End of Life Nursing Consortium and was a presenter at the 2008 Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization Convention. Danny Mack was named the 2008 Hospice Bereavement Coordinator of the Year by the Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization. He is also the President of the Bereavement Coordinators Association. Danny has served on the board of Mesquite Social Services and Sharing Life Community Outreach, both agencies help people in need of food and clothing . He has started two non profit organizations.

Dr. Linda Tavel currently serves as Program Medical Director for Odyssey Healthcare of Houston. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, receiving her MD in 1983. She completed a residency in Family Medicine at Memorial Hermann Southwest. She obtained an MBA from University of Houston at Clear Lake in 1999. She has been practicing hospice and palliative medicine since 2001, full time since 2004. She has practiced Palliative Medicine in multiple settings, including Palliative Medicine Consultation Service, Inpatient Hospice, and Home based Hospice. She is Certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She became a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine in 2009. Her interests are in performance improvement and safety as it pertains to the care of palliative care patients; she also has interests in creating a healing environment. She is a proud native Houstonian, and lives with a Geriatrician and one cat.
